Hi. I'm Sid.

I've always had the impression that, regardless of whether they're an expert in their field or a talented writer, most people who start writing a newsletter suffer from overly inflated egos.

There's nothing less interesting than a person who thinks they're super interesting and proceeds to talk about how super interesting they are to everyone they meet, and a newsletter is just the Internet equivalent of screaming "I'm interesting, pay attention to me!!!" into the void.

Naturally, I started to write one.

My writing (usually) exists at the intersection of this search for harmony (on both human and spiritual dimensions) with the cultural reality of tech + AI eating the world - and how we can choose the path that leads to harmony. This newsletter is the evolution of my two previous newsletters:

  • I started writing about my spiritual journey in 2022 - these can be found tagged with Two Feet In The Boat Archive (the original title of my newsletter)

  • In late 2023, I started sharing thoughts on decision-making, but quickly found that I was more enthusiastic about speaking on this in person than writing long-form content (tagged as Harmonic Decisions)

  • In 2025, I moved all my previous writing to a single site. That’s this one.

Two Feet In The Boat is a newsletter about existing in a cosmic orchestra. As I exist in the cosmic orchestra, so does everyone else. Understanding this, a life in harmony is a matter of three things: harmony within myself, harmony with others, and harmony with the universe.

Understanding this cosmic orchestra, with its infinite instruments all sitting on a stage and playing their notes while guided by a conductor to the tune of the composer, is the first step to existing within it. How we play the notes we’re given is how we approach decisions in harmony.

A disclaimer - my own journey is still very much in progress. I hope to keep the mood of an intelligent instrument, with the capacity for my own expression, while restricted by the nature of my instrumentation.
